In a departure from the fantastic and/or comedic tone of contemporary Sierra adventures, this game pits a rookie cop against a ruthless drug lord.

That's exactly it. Seems like a typical error with older Sierra games on Mac OS 7. Any known solutions to this problem?
Edit. Replaced 'xxx 7' with 'Mac OS 7' - IIGS User
I think I know what you mean, see this KQ3 entry for details.
Ouch, this one is really picky? Won't start up on my LC III (68030 CPU), 36 MB RAM and Mac OS 7.1. I get a row of graphic glitches and that's it. Changing the colors (from 256 down to b/w) doesn't help either. Any suggestions?

In Mini vMac, this game runs fine with SSW 7.

SWAT is the Police Quest I've been looking for.
I love the Police Quest games, really. Unfortunately, this one here is in b/w only
... MacSierraLover, could you try upping the color version? I think I still have PoliceQuest SWAT from Sierra somewhere here, have to check first, but if it fits in size I'll upload it. (have to work out how to make a proper image from cd though, never done it before
)
Is this B&W only? I have the Colour AGI Mac version that I can upload... Well maybe I can. I don't have a floppy drive anymore but I have the game disk...
Anyways, yes! There was only a few Mac releases for PQ1 B&W only AGI, PQ1 Colour/B&W hybrid AGI, PQ4 CD-ROM and PQ SWAT. Sierra was unfortunately cruel to Mac users.
If you feed a current Scumm interpreter with the early Mac Sierra titles, you can play them in color.
I also want to know whether later PQ titles do exist, the only I know is a 4 CD-ROM game, Police Quest: SWAT 1, created for 68040 and PowerPC based Macintoshes.
Was there a color version released for Mac? What about the sequels, were they released for the apple machines? Really like the scenario (though Sierra-like it's not easy and has some sudden-gameover situations..)
