Rare Macintosh version of this underrated point & click adventure game. You could call this a Space Quest/Leisure Suit Larry crossover because it somewhat resembles them in their style.
This game doesn't like modern macs, so make sure you have a 68k mac with Mac OS 7.5.5 or lower handy, because you will need to disable the 32-bit addressing mode to play. This can be quite annoying, but it's really the only way to get it to run properly. I had no luck with Basilisk II, but feel free to post your results if you're lucky enough to get it to run through emulation.
Further, you will need to get a copy of the logbook to get around the copy protection screen. I uploaded one from http://www.replacementdocs.com/

I installed SSW 7.5 on powerbook 540c and then i erased it and i installed SSW 7.1.1. Both operating systems didn't have option to disable the 32-bit addressing mode. So i didn't manage to run the game correctly.

I have played a while the game via Basilisk in Windows7. I noticed that you cannot hear speech at the introduction like the dos version. Also the dos version has a lot more music than Mac version.
Games like this one are worth a shot with FusionPC. You will need DOSBox or a quite old WIN98 box for using Fusion, but DOSBox is available for many recent hosts. Of course Fusion is slow, but thats what our old 68k machines were like.
The game is running in Fusion with Mac OS 7.1.

Available now is an archive with original installer disks and pre-installed version, and complete documentation in PDF.
I'm sure you know that your PPC Mac can run 68k software very well, even a bit slowly?
I don't have my PB 540c handy, but it seems to me I tested this on it and it ran fine. Can't remember if I had to do anything special, but my 540c runs 7.1.1 and its memory is maxed out.
Goodbye OS8 I guess lol. Looks interesting. Whats the best you reckon 7.5 or 7.6?
Cheers.
EDIT: oh shit 68k? Im prob outta luck then, unless a PPC performa has a way of running this?
I remember both Mac OS 6 and 7 coming with a Control Panel to switch between 24-bit and 32-bit addressing.
It's in the Memory control panel.

Is it possible to disable the 32-bit addressing mode on a powerbook 540c? I am looking for a speed laptop with 68040 cpu.
@Dimitris1980
That's because the game isn't 32-bit clean. I know exactly what you mean because i have the same graphic issues on my G3, G4 and even on my Quadra 800 with 32-bit addressing enabled.
As far as i know, you can't disable the 32-bit addressing on even the earliest PPC macs because of their architecture, that's why you'll need a 68k mac for this game.
To be honest, it's much easier to get the MS DOS version running through DOSBOX on modern machines. Sad but true.
Unfortunately graphic anomalies on my mac performa 6116 with mac os 8.1
I just downloaded. Great job! One of my favourite adventures
I've been looking this game for a loooong time. I couldn't even find it in ebay. I have finished in when i was 13 years old with me 286 pc back to 1993. Thank you.
