"You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike." is a quote from Adventure (the original computer adventure game which you can find right here in the Interactive Fiction Collection), so maybe try the combinations of directions which work in Adventure's maze. You can find these by sweating out Adventure, or looking up walk-throughs for Adventure or Colossal Cave or Pyramid 2000 or any of the other names it was later published under.
This is a pretty decent FPS, considering most other 1st person games of this era were only DOOM clones. It is flawed, however, in that you only get 1 life, and that items such as ammo are scarce. I like it though. Also, does anyone know what to do in the randomly generated maze where it says this? "You are in a maze of twisty little passages, all alike." If anyone knows, please tell me. Thanks!
The "quick-start guide" I have and have scanned, which contains story and keyboard controls.

This game has a really good soundtrack. Also I find it quite funny how the designers decided to use a photo of the box as the title screen.
I hate 1-person games around this time that rely on f ing mazes to extend the length of there games. This game has alot of mazes.
