World War II combat flight simulator. Fly a P-51, Spitfire, F4U Corsair, and Yak on the Allied side, and the Me-109, Fw-190, Zero, and Macchi on the Axis side. Theaters include England/France, Sicily/Malta, New Georgia Islands, Island World, and Fantasy World.
The application comes in two versions: Rave and OpenGL. The OpenGL version will also work in Classic mode under OS X. It may work in SheepShaver, too, though I haven't tried it.
Patch to version 1.03 can be found at GameFront.
Replacement aircraft skins and terrain textures are still available at http://www43.tok2.com/home/joker/
Alternate download on Mediafire, split into three files:
SF1945.img.sit.1
SF1945.img.sit.2
SF1945.img.sit.3
If you get generic icons from the Mediafire links, it may be necessary to edit the creator codes and file types with Creator Changer. Make the creator type SIT! and file type Seg1, Seg2, or Seg3 for the corresponding segments.

Hooray!!!!
(from Low End Mac)
"Video: ATI Rage Mobility 128 with 2x AGP
VRAM: 8 MB"
I thought I only had 4MB VRAM?!
I finally got it to work. It's an awesome game alright.
None of the two links work for me.
You can use Drop Box for a link.
The creator, Donald A. Hill Jr. , passed away last year.
May he rest peacefully.
If you're handy with OSX Terminal, you can join the files with a simple "cat SF*.00* > SF1945.img.sit"
It's unfortunate that the split program used ended up using the same naming convention as the built-in segmenter in Stuffit.
File corrupt. Is there another link?
Try Split & Concat or BetterZip. They handle segmented files well.
Nope, we're talking about Stuffit trying to join the 3 archives.
How did you split them ? With Stuffit ? or something like MacHacha ?
When I run the .001 file through Stuffit Expander I get an error about 90% of the way through file 1.
Are you talking about the dialogue box in OS X upon mounting which says "The disk image you are opening may be damaged and could damage your system. Are you sure you want to open it?" I believe this happens with every disk image created by Disk Copy 6.3.3 in OS 9, which SF1945.img was. When you mount it in OS 9, the checksum verifies and it works fine, and when you click through the dialogue and mount it in OS X, the image works flawlessly as well. I've never encountered any problems with it.
Just make sure you lock the image in the Get Info window. I created it as read-only in OS 9, but for some reason it's read-write when mounted in OS X.
Thanks Deckard!
But thanks for uploading the game.
We'll get it downloaded eventually.
