Well, that game is really really entertaining while at work, but I've got a problem with it.
So, after downloading both files and installing the game successfully, and applying the No-CD thingy I got it to work, but I got no sound
Am I the only one with that problem, and how can it be fixed?
I'm on a 1 GHz Powerbook G4 (with a PowerPC G4 Processor obviously) with 1.25 GB of SDRAM

soldier of Fortune II CD1 and CD2 will not download in mac os x 10.4.11.
When the download works the CD1 will expander. But CD2 will not expander in mac os x 10.4.11.

Any one has "No-Cd" or "Patch" for this game.....after all the hard work of installing the game last step is remaining...it says me insert disk 1...i mounted the disk 1 too...but not detecting....So anyone has Patch or no cd? Please
Hey one last question mrdav...I successfully extracted cd1......And i have mac os 10.4.11....and classic environment installed.....When i try to open the installer....it opened by classic envronment...And follow the steps by installer....Then it says me "You must have atleast 10.1 to install Soldier of fortune 2: Double helix"....whereas i have mac os 10.4.11....Can you help me last time ?????

Keep trying alternative ways of uncompressing. (I used Unarchiver 3.3 with success but I would be surprised if the different version number mattered). As I said earlier it is also possible that your download is incomplete even if it looks like it is OK, so try downloading again. You need to try harder to solve the problem yourself. I am not going to say anything more on this.
@mrdav.....I am using stuffit expander vesion 14 and if i try to extract...it says after sometimes...this sit file was created bt newer version of stuffit...and whereas i downloaded unarchiver version 3.9.1....and says me "the file sof cd 1.sit....:error on decrunching.....now what exactly should i do???

I have experimented a bit with my copy and I think you need to use an earlier version of UnStuffit ...or use The Unarchiver which I know does work.
Please can anyone just upload only toast image of cd1.....Its a massive request to you guys...I am sorry that i am disturbing you....but i love this game .....

MY cd1...sit file is exactly 601 mb of 600.7 mb around....and i also checked on ftp server...it shows me the same size....You can also check it
How big is your sit file for cd1? It should be about 630 MB as I said (yes it is much the same size as the image should be in this case). Anyway, both images were compressed in the same way, so if cd2 uncompresses ok, but cd1 does not, then it looks like your download is incomplete. That is all I can suggest.
NO actually i have two sit files of cd1 and cd2....but the cd2 extracted without any problem....but when i try to extract cd1....its says me the archive is created from newer version of stuffit...and then i click ok...and then the toast image size is 95 mb...which should be 630 mb as u say????Then what exactly to do now?The two cd sit files are complete.....but cd1 extraction is nt archiving...can u upload only cd1 toast file .......Please Can you do this it is a massive request
you said the file was 95 MB. Well it should be about 630 MB. This means that your download did not complete properly.
Yaaa....i know the cd 1 should be about 630 mb.....but...if i try to expand using stuffit expander...it says me..after 5-10 mins...this archive was created by newer version of stuffit? Thus i want to ask how can i extract cd1.....by any other means or application?...or i have to delete the full game because of such a small reason

Hey.....I successfully downloaded the game........There are two sit files of cd1 and cd2.........I expanded the cd2...and it expanded successfully....which is around 657 mb......but the problem is that when i try to extract cd1 using stuffit expander version 14.....afted 5-10 mins it said me"The item Soldier of fortune Cd1....was created by newer version of stuffit...and the disk image is of only 95 mb.....and i cant download newer version of stuffit becoz i have mac 10.4.11...933mhz....1gb ram,,......Please can anyne tell me how to extract cd 1? THANK YOU

Why not start the download and wait for it to complete? Learn to be patient. It will probably be quicker than waiting for someone to upload it again.

Anyone got a working no cd crack? I used to have this game for pc but lost it ages ago, would be fun to play it on my macbook though.
This one needs a no cd crack since it won't run without cd 1
I finished this on a G3 iBook (640 RAM, 32MB video). Can't remember the system, but it was probably Jaguar.
This is one of my favourites. Of course it looks better if you run it on faster hardware.
btw the official system requirements listed are famously optimistic. I used to have this game and tried playing on a g4 500 with 512 megs of ram and a 16 mg video card. forget it- basically a slide show
Blah, same thing for me in 10.5 on a g4 ppc powerbook. Cheated past the cutscene crash but as soon as I died the game froze on reload. Oh well, thanks for the up; I love this game. Played it through on the original xbox but I'm sure the experience is way better on a comp (10.4?).From what i've read, the Crossover emulation is pretty playable- ! might check that out
