Bought that CD a long time ago. At that time, CD-ROM was the great new technology to store large multimedia files and QuickTime VR was the fantastic software to pan and zoom 360° images. With that in mind, it was a great deal to virtually walk around on the 1701D.
Note the viewport was kept rather small for performance reasons. On more current hardware, the actual MOV files can be extracted from the disc as follows:
