Made the complete game; including Audio CD part, as a RARed Toast image available from

Update by Euryale Aug/24/2010

I've Re-uploaded this great game to Rapidshare single file uncompressed 360Mb
(the format is .toast)

[Removed due to copyright claim]
-----------------

The above download is a custom image.

Below is a Toast image of an original CD. Toast reports it as a hybrid CD, but the PC partition is empty and will not mount in Mac OS (and produces a mount error message).

Download removed due to copyright claim.
Compatibility
Architecture: 68k

It works fine on 68k architecture and PPC

Sorry but I have no access to the most of my stuff until middle of May. Sad The RS link seems to work though.

Swedebear, any chance you could re-upload your file? It says it was deleted because it had not been downloaded in 30 days.

I still think its the same file as yours, but hey!
the more options the better...

Thank you, Euryale, for your findings! Smile I will compare this with my tinkering. Wink

Well, I suddenly found out I have a Free RapidShare Premium account
which allow me to upload files up to 500Mb,
so I took advantage and uploaded this game as a single .toast file
so no more wierd splitted file formats,
just download and mount it with TOAST,

take it while it last!

Grr, MegaShare keeps giving partial downloads. If anyone can get this RAR file downlaoded, can they host on a more reliable service ?

...and I would love to upload my copy which is over +300MB(uncompressed)
Cancun´s slow season strikes on september (and I´ll have plenty of time to do it)
still, I don´t think your copy is different than mine.

by SwedeBear - 2010, July 25 - 10:00am

@Euryale; sorry for bashing in here but had this link done for someplace elsewhere and thought it could work here in meanwhile. Love to get my hands on your copy though as it's probably closer to the origin than my stuff. Wink

Sorry about the broken links,
ever since I moved down to Cancun I lost control over some accounts,
good thing I brought this game with me in my Laptop,
(as a matter of fact I was playing it yesterday)
so I still have the .TOAST file and as soon as I get my new Internet account
I´ll upload it again.
This is a great game.

Just to let you know the rapidshare links no longer work - the links are still there, but you only get a file of about 45K rather than 100MB upon downloading. Sad

The problem specifically is that I can't get it to unzip in the first place. No matter what program I try it stops short and tells me the Toast file is corrupted. I'm going to see if I can get it unzipped on a PC tomorrow...

Keep the .zip files you already downloaded because they're fine,
go to Kinko's, rent a Windows PC and burn the CD on a Windows PC,
(if you have a friend who has a Windows PC, much better)

well, that's what I would do,
this game is worth spending a few bucks to get it.

once again, I zipped the .toast file with WinZip version 12
I don't know if modern Macs can handle that format, but according to MacWise
they can handle .zip files (that's why I compressed it in that format)

Thanks for testing! I don't know what to do about it though.

Ok, Attila,
I just finished downloading the whole Game (on 2 different PC's)

-joined the .Zip parts and uncompressed them,
-changed the .toast suffix for .nrg,
-burned the image onto a Re-writable CD (I use for Testing) using NERO,
-Started up Basilisk, and Played the Game with NO problems whatsoever,

*There's nothing wrong with the file,*

it Took me 2 hours doing the whole process, and I also have a Free Rapidshare account.

It Unzips fine with me, I tested it (I always test all the way my Uploads)
by the way, I zipped it with WinZip v12

(and that's why I like to use .RAR compression for big files, but some Mac Users don't like .RAR)

also in my account says it's been downloaded 12 times so far.

-------------------

I'm downloading it at this moment to double-check it,
I'll let You know..

Thanks Euryale for mirroring this, but I can't get it to unzip properly; no matter what I use it keeps telling me the Toast image is corrupted. Does anybody else have this problem? I would download it again to see if it got messed up the first time I downloaded it, but it was such a chore getting it as a free user on rapidshare that I can't do it again.

This is actually the Very first game I ever played on a Windows PC,
I remember it came bundled with the Packard Bell PC my Parents bought for me in '95
I still have the PB install CD and surprisingly has a lot of good programs included,
but they're for Winworld so that's another story..

Anyway the Mac version is much better than the Windows version.

This is a nice game, and I have to add that it works fine on 68k architecture as well,
plays very smooth under Basilisk OS 8.1.

great game

by lopaka1998 - 2009, June 17 - 9:29pm

Here's what's happening (or so I think): The game is uploaded to the macintosh garden website. It is then forwarded to amazon's servers (which takes some time - especially for big uploads). The link is then added / adjusted to the new url. I think this is all automatic. But it does take some time to transfer the files - and in the meanwhile you've just got to wait for the transfer to take place.

Hope everyone enjoys my upload! I also have 7th guest -but it's nearly 700MB in size - and I don't think I can fit it in 400MB.

Whats going on? Has the upload limit increased? Is there more server space now?

Cheers.
