Rare Macintosh version of this underrated point & click adventure game. You could call this a Space Quest/Leisure Suit Larry crossover because it somewhat resembles them in their style.

This game doesn't like modern macs, so make sure you have a 68k mac with Mac OS 7.5.5 or lower handy, because you will need to disable the 32-bit addressing mode to play. This can be quite annoying, but it's really the only way to get it to run properly. I had no luck with Basilisk II, but feel free to post your results if you're lucky enough to get it to run through emulation.

Master of Orion II: Battle at Antares (MOO2) is a 4X turn-based strategy game set in space, designed by Steve Barcia and Ken Burd, and developed by Simtex, who developed its predecessor Master of Orion. The PC version of the game was published by MicroProse in 1996, while the Apple Macintosh version was published a year later by MacSoft in partnership with MicroProse. The PC version is still on sale as a download, and is still played online.

This is the full original CD image, minus the audio tracks (due to size). So the game still has sounds, and most simple in-game music, but the top quality background music (that those who have the game either love or hate) is gone.
It's a toast image (Disk Copy 6.3.3 just wouldn't touch the disc) that has been Zipped in OSX (right click "Create Archive"). Use the BOMArchiveHelper (right click) on the Zip to uncompress. I've also included the latest v1.11 update for Mac, in the Zip - so if you unzip on PC you'll hose it, but it's still available here:
