You'll be flying out of Leiston field, piloting the most successful fighter of that era, the P51 'Mustang.' This simulation has very realistic flight characteristics and an unparalleled 'feeling' of flight. Shoot Touch 'n' Goes with another Mustang, strafe ground targets, buzz the Eiffel Tower, and dogfight with Germany's formidable Me109. Complete replay feature allows previous few minutes of action to be viewed from any of 13 camera angles.

World War II combat flight simulator. Fly a P-51, Spitfire, F4U Corsair, and Yak on the Allied side, and the Me-109, Fw-190, Zero, and Macchi on the Axis side. Theaters include England/France, Sicily/Malta, New Georgia Islands, Island World, and Fantasy World.

The application comes in two versions: Rave and OpenGL. The OpenGL version will also work in Classic mode under OS X. It may work in SheepShaver, too, though I haven't tried it.

Patch to version 1.03 can be found at GameFront.

Valkyrie

In Valkyrie, you pilot an attack chopper in full 3D. Enemies include other choppers, tanks, AAA, and SAMs. Valkyrie is easy to learn and hard to get tired of. The missions aren't terribly complex, but they're fun to play over and over. The graphics are good for 1993. This game will run slow on a 68030 and hum along just fine on a 68040.
