SmoothTalker offered significantly better synthesized speech than Apple's Macintalk, and was built into several other games and apps (such as Dinosaur Discovery Kit, KidTalk, and Racter.)

We're still looking for version 3.0, which was compatible with the Mac II.

Important: The included OS crashes Mini vMac, but the game is playable if you boot from a System 6 disk image.

Similar to Kid Works 2, this is a child-friendly word processor that offers to read your work aloud (but with a voice less likely to cause nightmares).

Important: This app is not compatible with the Mini vMac emulator (last tested with v3.1.3.) It requires a physical compact Macintosh such as a 128K, 512K, or Plus.
