This is one of the earliest, and most unknown, computer games to take advantage of the CD-ROM's storage capacity. Written and designed by R.A. Montgomery, a prolific author whose "Choose Your Own Adventure" books were highly popular in the early 1980s, BTWOS is best described as a multimedia CYOA book - you read the story like a book, then, once every few "pages," select one of two choices for your action that will affect how the story unfolds. The plot is standard, and even cliche, sci-fi fare: you are leader of an urgent expedition sent by the Celadon planet.

Dinosaur Safari is designed to recreate the world that you would encounter if time travel were really possible. Instead of bringing the Dinosaurs to the modern world, Dinosaur Safari takes you to the world of the DInosaurs. Developed in collaboration with designers and scientists from the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, this multimedia adventure provides hours of enjoyment travelling through time, hunting dinosaurs, and collecting their photos. Dinosaurs are seen in realistic environments which reflect current knowledge of Mesozoic plant and animal life, geography, and ecology.

The C.H.A.O.S. Continuum

The year is 2577 and everyone on the Titan colony has suddenly disappeared. The station lies empty and hulking with the exception of a few automated robots which patrol the halls. The sentient computer C.H.A.O.S. is resisting any attempt at interface from the outside. You must take an advanced EVA pod, the Time Pod and shifting through dimensional rifts arrive at the Titan station to determine what went wrong. Use the probe's interfaces to gain access to computers, databanks and whatever else it will take to crack the access codes on the labs and C.H.A.O.S. itself.

A beautiful young woman named Elspeth Haskard has been murdered in her own apartment. A dead chicken, smeared blood in a crucifixion pattern on the body, a religious symbol drawn on floor, and many voodoo paraphernalia have been found in the crime scene. Initial examination of the body reveals no evidence of trauma. Her skin, though, appears bluish, as if she has been poisoned. Elspeth has lived a very strange life. As a brilliant doctoral student in anthropology, she has traveled to many parts of the world, including Haiti where the practice of voodoo thrives.

The Murder Mystery series is an effort by Creative Multimedia to translate a passive experience of reading a murder mystery to an active multimedia gaming experience. This evolution appears logical and sets a trend for other developers soon to follow. The series has undergone a name change from Virtual Murder to Murder Mystery. The fourth (and last) title of the series, Murder Mystery 4: Who Killed Taylor French? The Case of the Undressed Reporter, gives the player an opportunity to become an armchair detective.
