Chex Quest

The Chex Quest game is a Doom total conversion: maps, characters, textures, music - the lot. The game originally shipped in 1997 on a CD, included in a Chex® cereal box as a promotion for breakfast cereal.

Ralston Foods, the owners of the cereal brand at the time, employed Digital Café to develop the game. Permission was given by ID to use the Doom engine and the Doom 1 IWAD to do this. They released Chex Quest as a 3 episode game of 5 mapped games each, and using its own Chex Quest player for Windows 3.1/95.

Mac DooM Legacy (MDL) is a port of DooM Legacy, a modernised version of the DooM engine. It supports OpenGL rendering and TCP/IP networking. Supports playing of all Doom 1 & 2 WADs and Heretic 1 WAD plus 3rd party PWADs.
