The players take the part of medieval monarchs and attempt to lead their dynasties to dominate Europe. There are five scenarios representing different periods in the Middle Ages, and a campaign scenario which allows the player to lead his or her kingdom through the entire seven hundred years covered by the game. In the unregistered version of the game only the 1100 A.D. scenario may be played.</p>
