Roger and Rover are the names of the 2 main characters. Rover the dog is frequently kidnapped by robots, and it is the player's (Roger the owner) job to enter into robot territory and get him back, hence the name "Rescue Rover".

Each level starts with Roger climbing up a ladder set into the floor, and the player completes the level by arriving back at this ladder with Rover - at which point Roger climbs down with Rover.

Psst. This is NOT Dreamship Adventure. This is the far superior (am I seriously talking about edutainment abandonware right now...) game that really pushed the limits of how far you could push an educational game in the direction of being a video game.

Color Dark Castle is the first computer game in the Dark Castle series developed after the rights were sold from Silicon Beach Software to Delta Tao.

Color Dark Castle is essentially a remake of the original Dark Castle, in color. Though it may seem identical besides the color at first, Delta Tao reported that they had to redo the code from scratch, also they added a new difficulty, and a "Secret Level".
