Files here that are infected with a virus

The recent discovery (and subsequent removal) of a virus in Logic Audio Platinum 4.7 has prompted me to do a scan of the many files from here that I have uncompressed and archived privately. Below is a list of those files that Virex shows as being infected. The virus strain is given in brackets. Please either beware of these files or, even better, fix the problem and reupload. I have not looked inside any disk images so there may still be the occasional infected file in these.

After two years of inactivity, the vMac Applications Site is now gone and it has become Mini vMac Applications Site! This is the sequel of the old vMac Applications Site.

We're sorry that this site has been closed, however you can download the disk images here. The disk images will become a part of The New Macintosh Emulation Station in the future. The sub-domain name "sheepmyshaver123" from Google Sites will be removed next week.

What is Mini vMac Applications Site?:

IMPORTANT: Disk Copy for images (RULE: always use DiskCopy 4.2!)

Please, unless absolutely necessary, always use Disk Copy 4.2 the software itself), and not any later version, for floppy disks. It does not matter if they're 800K or 1.4MB.

ALL versions of Disk Copy 6 (except 6.0.x, which is not recommended because of its weird compression schemes, and because it was never supported by Apple), omit important data from the floppy disks.

I'm referring to the software, not just the format — use of Disk Copy 6.x in DiskCopy 4.2 "mode" doesn't count — the data is still omitted.

PROJECT: Looking for Mac ROMs

So we're looking for ROMs that haven't been dumped. This is to help improve our understanding of Mac hardware, as well as emulation.

A chart of known ROMs is available here: Chart at Google Docs. We are looking for any ROMs that we don't have a copy of (these are marked as yellow). Also, ROMs which don't exist in the list (continue reading to find out how to determine this) are helpful, too.

Do not allow newly uploaded CD image/floppy images to be modified

Since I am a Macintosh CD and floppy image collector, some of the disk images in this web site are not original and thus modified because of these effects:

Desktop DB and Desktop DF files did not match from the original CD/floppy

.Trashes folder exists (hidden or not)

.DS_Store file exists (hidden or not)

Any other Mac OS X indices existsh(idden or not)

I have about 30 JPEG files that open fine on my Powermac G4 with PictureViewer but on a PowerBook G4, PictureViewer says they are corrupted.

The same files open fine using Photoshop on both computers.

Both computers are running 9.2.2.

I need help finding an old Macintosh game. It could have come out anywhere between the late 80's to the late 90's.

Can't remember a games name!

Does anyone remember a game ( I think it was made in hypercard) where you had to get the Horta ( of Star Trek fame) to eat through a dam and flood a place? I know that's not much to go on, but it's the only thing I remember after twenty-something years! Thanks!

Forgot the name of a game

Hello,

I just went through the entire catalog hoping to find a game I remember playing in roughly 93-96 or so. It was a lot like S.C. OUT but you were inside a computer and had to repair it to move on to the next level. Enemies were sparks, computer bugs, etc. I also remember that there was an alternate sprite file that could be switched in to change the appearance of levels and enemies. Anyone remember what it's called? Thanks!
