The idea stemmed from a little thing I did around when I got my first Mac. I drew a real complex potato-head and all these facial features with MacPaint. I showed some friends how you could 'lasso' the face parts and make your own potato head person. Well, it went over pretty well but, after making a rather 'busy' potato person, one of my friends quit MacPaint and did the old, "Yes" to the "Save changes before closing?". So, there went my potato person kit.

Pararena is an action computer game for the Apple Macintosh computer originally written in 1990 by John Calhoun and released as shareware. It is a mouse-controlled ball game where two players compete on hoverboards in a parabolic arena with two "goals" on the sides. The objective is to gain scores by getting the ball into the other player's goal and, on the other hand, to protect one's own goal. The ball can be held for a while by squatting on it (holding the mouse button down) and then thrown to the current direction.

Controls are much cruder than those of the later games (the glider is in constant motion - you can only change its direction.) Many graphics are unique to this version, most notably the "bad cat". B/W only.
