Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection Installing/updating Intel(R) PRO/Wireless Network Connection ID Tool • After downloading the archive to c:\temp\ or opening the Intel_Network_Connection_ID_Tool_303.exe it will self extract • Agree to the license • Select the location where to install the tool (defaults to c:\Intel\Intel(R) PRO Wireless Network Connection ID Tool\ • The tool will auto run after the installation or manually run the “Intel NCIDT.exe” from c:\Intel\Intel(R) PRO Wireless Network Connection ID Tool\ • To exit the tool select the X in the upper right corner of the window Removing the Intel(R) PRO/Wireless Network Connection ID Tool • To remove the Intel(R) PRO/Wireless Network Connection ID Tool, simply delete everything in the default installation directory “c:\Intel\Intel(R) PRO Wireless Network Connection ID Tool\” or the directory where the “Intel NCIDT.exe” is located. Compatibility • This release supports only Windows* XP Home, Windows* XP Professional, Windows* XP Tablet, Windows* XP Media Edition, and Windows* 2000 Professional. • This release supports only the following adapters: - Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2100 Network Connection - Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2100A Network Connection - Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection - Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2915ABG Network Connection • If the wireless hardware is not supported or no wireless hardware is installed in the notebook computer, the tool will display the following: o Wireless LAN Hardware not detected o Possible Causes: 1. No Wireless LAN Hardware is installed (Supported wireless adapter is not installed: see the list above for supported adapters) 2. The Wireless LAN Hardware installed cannot be detected by this utility (The wireless adapter device driver is not installed or is malfunctioning.) o If the hardware information differs from what was expected, please contact your system manufacturer or place of purchase.
