This is FlaskMPEG version 0.6 IDCT plug-in optimized for Pentium II. 

It includes fast high-quality x87 iDCT decoders by Miha Peternel,
version 7 dated 2001-03-16.

It includes a new x87 optimized reference IEEE-1180 iDCT decoder.

Even MMX iDCT is optimized in this version. :)

The reference decoder is so much faster in this release that you
might not even want to touch other decoders. :)

This plug-in works with FlaskMPEG 0.6 (www.flaskmpeg.net).
Copy the file "Miha.idct.flask" to your FlaskMPEG directory.

To use fast x87 decoder, you must enable configure iDCT:
FlasK MPEG
->Options 
  -> Global Project Options (Export Movie Settings) 
    -> Video 
      -> iDCT Options 
        -> Auto Select <- switch to OFF
        -> iDCT Selection (choose one of the 3 new iDCT's)
          -> Miha's x87 Reference iDCT <- fast, reference quality
          -> Miha's x87 Fast iDCT      <- faster, high quality
          -> Optimized MMX iDCT        <- fastest, low quality

Check out options0600.gif and idct0600.gif to see the positions of 
the switches.

The difference of the Fast x87 iDCT with the reference decoder is 
only 1/256 of intensity in 1 out of every 6 million pixels.

The Fast x87 iDCT decoder is practically the same high quality as the 
reference decoder and it's nearly as fast as the MMX optimized decoder !!!
