An Intel Pentium emulator that runs Windows 3.x up to Windows XP Professional on your Mac. You can also run MS-DOS 7.0 and several flavors of Linux such as Redhat (6.2 or later) and Mandrake (7.0 or later).
A note about the downloads available above:
- First download above contains version 5.0 with the 5.0.4 update included. It comes with PC DOS 2000 preinstalled (compatible with most MS-DOS applications).
- Second download above contains Virtual PC 5 with Windows 98 SE.
If you want an emulator with Windows 3.1 and MS-DOS preinstalled, see SoftWindows 3.0.

Windows 98 links please!!!

I hated the "update", but anyway, who cares Im not using it any more
xy... try it and find out? As for VPC 5, this is a great program, better than VPC 6 in my opinion. Can't quite recall why at the moment, but whatever they added in v6 just bloated it. Haven't tried VPC7 yet, but it may be necessary to run Windows7.
Does anyone know whether on the PC DOS 2000 preinstall WordPerfect 5.1 will run?

I'm getting the same error too. I'll do a post about it in the forum.
Edit: I followed eastone advice and reuploaded the archive--but under a different name. Everything works for me. So even though we still have no idea why this happen, at least we know the workaround: rename and reupload. It's not a good workaround for big files, though.
