[Top DL]: is a full toast installation image, compressed in stuffit 5.x format. Includes serials. Be sure to have some space available the file will expand to 430MB. If you mount it with Toast it will mount two ISOS, just ignore the one that looks like a PC CD.
[2nd DL]: Full Install CD of FreeHand 9.0, a .zip compressed .iso image file. Same as above, in HFS format only.

If on a classic Mac OS, unzip using MacZip then mount the extracted image with Virtual CD/DVD Utility.

Humm i tested that serial on my mac before uploading the file and it worked fine.. what was strange for me that other two known serials didn't work, that's why i chose that one. My setup was an iBook G3/800 running MacOS 9.2.2
@macjames: It is 100% functional and installs well on my test eMac running OS 9.2.2
Another observation: the included serial is for the Windows version (doesn't work). It was easy enough to find an alternative tho', working ones begin FHM900-
I've also succeeded in re-building the disk as HFS only, removing the iso9660 side without damaging creation/modification date/times (its as original)
so if anyone wants this uploaded, I can upload it to this page too.[Edit] Uploaded HFS only image (as .iso & .zip compressed)

I have found that they sometimes are made this way. My most recent encounter with this phenomenon is on the new page I am about to make for Neverwinter Nights. The game CDs mount if you put them in a Windows machine. If you look at the content, the files on the Win side are the same as on the Mac side, only the names are different.
Well it seems i didn't look deeper into the iso9660 part of the image. Yes i see the contents of the mac part with DOS names. The image is untouched and as i got it back in 2000. Unless we find an original we can't be sure it was manufactured this way. On the good side it looks 100% functional.
@mrdav: I cannot see any reason as to why there are HFS & ISO9660 parts here, with the given content. If this was originally a hybrid CD, then its a Toast screw-up.
The HFS side is fine. It makes me wonder if the original CD for this was ever released as hybrid. I made a recent ebay purchase of Macromedia Studio (FreeHand 10 & Flash 5). Its a boxed set containing separate Mac/Win CD's of the same version of software. I had earlier also purchased FreeHand 8 (Mac) on CD. None were hybrid CD's.
@MTT I have encountered this one or twice before where both partitions of the "hybrid" are effectively the same.
@macjames: Thanks for finding & archiving FreeHand 9 here. The Mac install set appears to be in good shape. However, I have to point out that although it appears to be a hybrid image, its not one containing a Windows install set of FreeHand 9.
It does contain a hybrid partition, except the content are all of the same Mac installer files, only with truncated DOS file-names. Weird but true.
You can test for yourself by mounting the image using the Virtual CD/DVD Utility from here (you may need to use Sheepshaver or Basilisk if you haven't got a native classic mac OS), this will mount both partitions.
On the mounted hybrid partition (labelled "FREEHAND_9"), open the folder named "FREEHAND", inside this you'll see an icon named "FREEHAND.9IN", it has a "VISE" installer icon, double-click this and it will launch wanting to install FreeHand 9 for you. There are no Windows files present, only Mac files with truncated 8x3 DOS file names.

I was able to install FH 5.5 without problems.
About 430 MB, but it's in my tapes. Will try to do it on the weekend.
If you have one macjames, that would be great. If you have the CD, even better. This current archive needs replacing.
9.0 Installer eh? sounds extremely possible
Did you drag & copy the mounted .img to your hard drive before trying to run it?
I've tried to run this one on SheepShaver but it crashes SheepShaver every time. (This could be SheepShaver's lack of MMU and FreeHand requiring one). I'll try it on actual G4 hardware next.
[Edit] Nope, this one crashes with type 3 errors on my G4 eMac (Mac OS 9.2.2). Use any of the installer sets mentioned below in preference to this one, which gets a one star rating from me.
It is a pre-installed copy. I would be very reluctant to use a pre-installed software. Versions of Macromedia FreeHand that are very good and have full installers here at the garden are version 5.5, vers. 7.0, vers. 8.0.1 & MX (vers.10). I think vers. 5.5 and vers. 8.0.1 are my all time favorite releases of this software.
[Edit 2]: If you try vers. 8.0.1, then DL the full iso for that version, the smaller 18 MB file also has problems.
I can unstuff and mount this application, but trying to run it produces the following error message (translated from Japanese):

No, this is impossible for this version. The final version of FreeHand to run on 68k Macintosh is FreeHand version 7.x. See the FreeHand Graphics Studio 7 thats here. I've removed the "Works in Basilisk II" & 68k references from this page.
