Back issues of the MacUser magazine for the year 1995 in PDF format. Not scanned, but true vector PDF's by MacUser. These are also located on the Apple Color Printing CD (where these were sourced from).

12 issues in all. These are an excellent read and are pretty much like a time capsule of the year 1995 in terms of what was happening in the world of Macintosh computing - and boy, what a year that was.

If anyone knows of earlier or later back issues of this magazine. Please add them to this page.

Compatibility

Requires a PDF reader (Acrobat version 2.0 or newer)

These are awesome, if anyone out there has any other backissues of MacUser (or any other Mac-centric publication) that can be digitally uploaded, please let me know! Great Find Smile

More True PDFs of Macintosh Magazines would be a extremely nice addition to this website.

@WhosIt.There: Would there be any chance you could put the images of the CDs on some USB stick and send it to someone with a faster internet connection. There are some people working for this website who would surely help you to get some interesting content online. Where do live ? We have people from USA, Australia, Europe and Japan.

I have got a CD from Macworld UK with "every 1999 issue archived" (inlcuding an extra InDesign supplement). On the front of the disc it says "indexed, searchable, hot links, auto zoom". I may have a couple of other similar back issue CD / DVDs around in the drawers full of magazine cover discs (and disks).

Unfortunately I've only got a dial-up internet connection, so there's no way I can upload it. The individual issue PDFs themselves average about 7.5MB (one is 12MB), so even those wouldn't be possible. Sad

Wow, fantastic. The holy grail of magazine digitization, vector PDFs with a table of contents. Thanks for breaking this out, I never would have looked at that CD. Makes me wonder where else we could hope to find more of these types of things.
