Being a Mac-only CD-ROM, The "Macwelt Archiv-CD 2003" comes with monthly issues of the German monthly Macwelt magazine from 1999 to 2003 in PDF format, fully searchable with Acrobat Reader.
Hint:
Comes with separate PDF index files for Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X:
When using the classic Mac OS, drag the file "Index 1999-2003 (9).pdx" onto Acrobat Reader,
when using the Mac OS X, drag the file "Index 1999-2003 (X).pdx" onto Acrobat Reader.

System requirements:
- Apple Power Macintosh computer for Acrobat Reader 4 and 5.1 included on CD
- Acrobat Reader 6 for Mac OS X is also included on CD
- Because the CD comes with HFS+ formatted, it requires Mac OS 8.1+ to be read, including Mac OS X.

I made some research on the year collection CDs that the Macwelt magazine offered (link).
It itself offered all issues up to the year 2009 as True PDFs for free for registered users as a give-away during its 20-year anniversary in september 2009. Since 2010, they also include the True PDFs of all issues of the previous year in the accompanying CD of the january issue (= no more extra year collection CDs anymore).
The shop that used to sell them no longer (see link for more details).
So I think it would be ok to have all the issues (up to the year 2009) preserved for future reference.
