From the Macwelt magazine (= German equivalent of Macworld for those who don't know it) there were issued year collection CDs for the years 1995-2009.

In February 2002, there was a special issue named "Macwelt DVD 1" with a huge software collection which also comprised a folder named "Macwelt 1995-2000" with all issues of theses years as True PDFs (link).

In September 2002, there was a follow-up special issue named "Macwelt DVD 2", again with a huge software collection and issues of the years 1998-2001 included as True PDFs (link).

In September 2009, having 20-year anniversary, Macwelt offered all the issues so far released (1989-2009) for download:

Unfortunately, these links will not work anymore now, after several redesigns of the homepage (link).

In 2009, Macwelt started to release all issues of the previous year as True PDFs included in the accompanying CD of the january issue 02/20XX (link).
The regular year collection CDs were replaced this way after 2009.

The FAQ (link) says these old year collection CDs continued to be sold in its shop until 2010.
The shop nowadays offers only montly and yearly subscription of the magazine as print or digital issues (link). Oldest offered back print issue still available is 01/2013.

So the year collection CDs or the True PDFs of the issues before 01/2013 are not available anymore and regarding the fact that Macwelt itself offered issues of the years 1989-2009 for a period of time, there is no reason, in my opinion, why we could not preserve at least the issues of 1989-2009 on our website for future reference.
