Please note, that Office_4 for Macintosh was unfortunately not fully cross compatible with Office_4 PC.
E.g. PowerPoint files from Mac would not open on PC's and vice versa.
Cross platform compatibility was achieved later with Office_98 Mac / Ofice_2000 PC.

I don't think that max1zzz's server have these. I will upload it soon...
Its all save on Max1zzz´s awesome server AND he is online again right now.
Best connect via Wired but any other protocol should be working too.

The mediafire links are broken. Can you re-upload these files?
Thank you, 24bit
Yes, I probably should re-upload Disk4 to Mediafire, if nobody kept the missing part.
Problem is, I did not keep the chunks so I would have to remake the whole thing.
Second, Mediafire drops files at will, so I´m not too fond anymore of uploading things there.
Unfortunately Knez´s server is down ATM. The files are save and will be available again as soon as a replacement box is up and running.
You may have noticed, that Knez was asking for help for the new server.
Did you check whether somebody copied the files on wired maybe?
Edit: uploading...done.
Grab it before its dropped again.
Hi 24bit.
MSO421_4.ISO.sit.2 seems to be missing from your server. Can you please upload it again? Unfortunately the only link here for that disk is a dead link to MU. If that it not possible, I will wait until the madomain server is back up and get the whole disk.
I tried fixing the links above, the whole bunch should be here: http://www.mediafire.com/?wva5sp6z1cs9e
If MF fails at all, I would like to point you to Knez´s Hotline/Wired server, available via http://www.macdomain.org/index.php
The disks are all there, among other interesting stuff, even unchopped.
Disk 2, please re-upload MSO-421_2.ISO.sit.3 as it was removed at MF.
As MF is dropping files occasionally, the six disk image files are also hosted here on the hotline server:

Living on former Danish territory, I glad to help out the neighbours in the north.
After asking MF to restore my file in question, they changed it from "unaccessable" to "deleted".
I wonder what they did with their servers in Texas. The pop-up box tells me the original uploader
has probably deleted the file. (lol)
This kind of treatment is rediculous, but I guess you can´t complain much about something available for free.
Important files should really be stored somewhere else permanently.
Uh-oh an OS X proprietary zip file! Quickly sorted --> PearPC & Stuffit to the rescue
Many thanks for this. It is in excellent shape, all disk images are perfect. I've wanted a working copy of this database for years, literally. Thanks again.
Would this do Mike?

Its the FoxPro disk images and HDD installers folder.
I submitted a ticket at MF about the file not downloadable atm, hope it helps.
The only one out of this entire bunch I would like (I already have Office 4.2) is "...US: - Microsoft FoxPro 2.6a".
I acquired a boxed set of floppies for this (including manuals), long after this app was out of circulation. One of the install floppies was fubar, rendering the entire set useless... sigh.
I see, there seems to be a problem on MF unfortunately.
Can you try to download from a mirror like sheepmyshaver123´s maybe?
EDIT: No you cant. Seems to be the same file on MF, only linked differently.
Has someone stored the file locally, so I dont have to re-upload the whole thing?
A great upload! However, I get an error message when trying to download segment 2 of disc 4.
24bit, do you have any other sets of MS Select Application Pool or anything is x86 related?
Monumental upload -- I have given this post 5 stars, but would like to give it 6 (ala Spinal Tap)!
I tried again Apps 04 archive; Stuffit 7 does expand now. Thanks a lot. The archive is gold: It has all the foreign language dictionaries (hyphenation, etc.) for Word 5.0 and 5.1 (Proofing Tools for Word 5.
- which is an excellent supplement to the Word 5.1a upload of MacGarden.
I think it depends on what is being compressed. So for SSW 7 and earlier we try to use Stuffit v4 or earlier, although I've used v5.5 and never had any complaints.
After SSW 7 I think we try to use Stuffit v5.5 compatible versions. So you can use Stuffit v7 but open Preferences and change the Stuffing Preference from "Better Compression" to"Faster Compression" to get a Stuffit v5.5 compatible file.
In reality, no-one will have a rant if it's a later version, one of us will download it, expand, re-compress it and re-upload it. There may be a few groans if it's something like Stuffit v16 (v18 by the time you read this)
Edit: Changed 'xxx 7' to 'SSW 7' - IIGS User
Sorry, I should have mentioned before, that the files are made with Stuffit Deluxe 5.0 mostly.
I wanted to have 3.6 at first, but some outputs had been crippled, thats why I changed to 5.
Usually 7 is capable of inflating files from 5.
BTW, do you have a favorite Stuffit version, that is commonly accepted?
@xy
I've tried StuffIt Windows 9, StuffIt Expander 4.0.1 or StuffIt Expander 5.5, works. Did you downgrade to 6.5?
Do these archives open up on Mac OS 9 now? I tried the US and the international archives a few days ago. Stuffit Expander 7 refused to open.
if you're having trouble, please try using GNU ddrescue in Linux or OS X. After compiling it, use it like this:
ddrescue -v -r N /dev/rdiskZ path/to/outputfile.img path/to/outputfile.log
In Linux, also add the -d option (ddrescue -v -d -r N ...)
N is the number of times to retry a bad sector and Z is the disk ID. You can find this out by running df when the disk is mounted. Make sure you use the main disk (/dev/diskZ), not the partition (/dev/diskZrY). This is a way to image disks with additional data, but I'm not sure if it works for CD-DA. There, using EAC or XLD is probably better.
Make sure you unmount the disk in Disk Utility (but do not eject) before using ddrescue.
ddrescue can be interrupted, and it will use the log to resume where it left off.
Good luck recovering flaky disks! (CDs, hard disks or others
ddrescue produces raw images, which are exactly the same as '.iso' format. Be careful not to modify them by mistake!
Thanks for taking the time to fix it 24bit. The set is perfect now.
P.S: I've removed the old links.
grrr. I'll add them at the bottom. The silly server doesn't let me delete the old links.
Links for disk2 updated, so I hope.
@sheepmyshaver123: If I am getting you right, you are asking for MS Select CDs for X86 PCs.
I am sorry to tell, that I do not have those.
Inside the Microsoft Select Help, there is the full contents of Microsoft Select Application Pool, mostly PC content (which is fit to my sub-archive). Do you have the rest of them?
I see, I'll upload an untouched one soon.
The other images are all right, so far?
I downloaded Disc 2 again just in case you'd changed it since. You can see in these pics what I mean:
http://is.gd/ke1qZ
http://is.gd/ke1ws
(I know it looks like I'm being picky here but it's always worth trying to get rare stuff like this imaged correctly for preservation). I DO appreciate the effort
Oh, you are welcome. Actually sheepmyshaver123 did the detailed listing and I just edited a bit.
Thanks for this immense effort 24bit, it's a rare piece of software and a well-detailed page.
I had been updating 2 and 3 recently because they were damaged.
Since then there should have been no changes. I'll check the links later.
I think there was a denial of service attack from China, maybe I got into that one, I had to restart some upload.
Thanks for persevering 24bit. These are a great addition!
I noticed Disc 2 seems to be modified. Were you having trouble copying that one?
It's working fine
Is disk0 working at all or is it a crippled image like disk2+3 have been?
I must admit, I did not try.
My message must have crossed 24bits …how did I miss that (and I'm not the only one). Thanks to both of you.
@bertyboy
5 ISO discs in all. Worked when I tried (obviously), maybe something has changed since then.
They're also available on Pandora (v1.3.4. Wired Server) by now.
Thanks bertyboy for your attention. There are six disks, I changed the link.
Am I missing something ? the link for the first disc is the same link as for the first part of the second disc.
Are there 5 discs or 6 ?
@24bit
Thank you very much for this!
Above are some new links, hoping they will work this time!
If you end up giving Alcohol a try, you can use it to rip these to iso too. If there's a read error on the disc or some other problem it'll tell you.
Although the problem with 2 and 3 is actually with the stuffit archives themselves. But I'd imagine the discs would be a similar size to the others.
Making new ones tonight. I did disk2 two times and always got that small file.
No idea what might have gone wrong.
Yep, it seems 2 and 3 are incomplete uploads. The other discs extract fine.
24bit, Disc 2 and 3 are broken, please replace with the new one.
