I may be mistaken, but I think domain names are held for a little while as a courtesy prior to making them available for purchase. So even though a domain name has expired, it can't be purchased for several weeks/months. But I'm not sure about this.
Chatbox: Not used much
Comments on Home Page: Hardly used at all
IRC: Very few people ever log on to talk, ask questions
Comments on upload pages: Pretty good
Forum discussions: Pretty good
Good observation mathieudel. I didn't know it was there for the longest time, because I never went to the "main" page. Perhaps the Chat would be better integrated into the Forum section, or at least a link to the Chat should appear in the Forum.
About the ¨lascivous¨ maybe that´s not the word (excuse my english)
but once in a while I had some vulgar and sexist comments not appropiate for my WebSite.
since I ´m always at the Yahoo Answers website, some people just like to upset me,
that´s why I took it down..not a big deal,
@Vitoarc
You´re right, I forgot about the captchas and the Spammers...

As I've read the 'las' word, your other words come to my mind in its connection.
Don't publish picts.
@Euryale: not trying to make fun of such tiresome and juvenile comments happen on your board/chatbox. Just fascinated by the English language, which isn´t my 'native tounge' either.

Oh good! We have a chatbox now! Too bad it's temporarily like a ghost town around here.
@Vitoarc:
Say! Who are you calling a ghost?
[cheers]

I think everyone's browser favourite points to the http://macintoshgarden.org/ domain, which is up for grabs.
Hw long before they realise they need to add the www. ??
It's good to see that we're back.
There's still a lot of in-site links that point to http://macintoshgarden.org/, but we can work through them
thank goodness the site is back... i thought someone would buy out mac gardens domain.
It should work both ways now...
It does here, thanks Balrog!
Yeah, the site is back! \(|O|)/
I was getting worried, this site's never been down for me before.
... and there was much rejoicing in the garden.
don't worry, we have everything safe
You guys know the University of Portsmouth link is broken, right?
@Thunderstock, thanks for the heads up, fixed.

Thanks Mike Garden for starting the "pretty" download button revolution
I seriously thought about buying the site when it was down.,

That's generally true, but obviously depends on the DNS registrar.
And the laws in the country involved. Example cocacola in France.
I love Boxer/DOSBox, but it's sad because it's easier to run old DOS games than it is to run old Mac games on a new Mac.
"A little more help on the upload side for the one, would save a lot of time on the download side for the many."
Le Chat on the main page seemed like it was disabled. But now the chat box it back.
themacmeister is on a tear! Nice work man!
Nobody else leave comments in the chatbox. I enjoy talking to myself.
Ah, well. New version of SS *almost* boots from a physical floppy. Almost… :/
Just a shout to ask if some of you could try out the Total Distortion download, its my first attempt at plonking a disk image up, hope it works
Someone needs to update the "Friends" list: http://www.68kshrine.net does not appear to exist.
Thanks karl128k - 68kshrine has been removed...
The Mac Hut link is dead too (goes to a domain parking page)
Thanks again, done.
WELCOME all new members! Enjoy the site, and may you feel encouraged to leave comments and ask questions.
You should add Old Mac Archive to the list, though.
Add this website as Sheepmyshaver123's Site: http://sites.google.com/site/sheepmyshaver123/

My observation : maybe the chat box is hardly used because not that visible ?

I think the chatbox would be better if it looked like a chatbox like this:
http://www.cbox.ws/
get it for free, I put one in my website sometime ago, it works,
but I had to take it down due to lascivous comments I had.
"lascivous"… I would be very concerned if some1 wrote that in a chatbox of mine.
The interface sure looks a lot nicer, Euryale, I'm just wondering if what we have, we have because it works with CAPTCHA.

Besides this chats lack of "visibility"; a [Last Post] link at the top of the page (like in the Forum posts) would also be a plus.
