I would like to ask your opinion for the apple dos compatibility card. Is it reliable and better than an emulator? I read that it has a 486dx processor and it supports soundblaster. Is it good for the dos games? And one last question. Can you use a roland mt32 device for the music?

I have the pentium DOS card in my 8600, IMO it is better than a emulator just as you are playing on a real PC, it's meant to be good for games but i haven't played any yet so can't vouch for that.
as for the last one, i have no idea.

mine works great although they did have trouble with it when it first came out

Yes it runs good . i play steelpanthers1,2, slienthunter2. plus other runs win3.1 and dos 6.2
it uses a sound blaster emulator(apple software) it can print though windows to mac side

I used to use DOS Card on the LC630DosCompatible, it was great for running software, cannot remember if I ever ran games on it. I used to do a lot of "ahem" downloading, and the software just wasn't out on the Mac at the time. I used to run both OS concurrently and switch between them, which was an amazing feature.
