Basilisk with inverted colors

Hi, I recently got my Basilisk up and running and after not being able to get a noncorrupt version of Power Pete downloaded, thanked my lucky star we still had the CD at home, and am now using it to play Power Pete on the emulated Mac.
However, when I'm at home, the colors have a tendency to invert as soon as I start up Basilisk, with or without the CD inserted, it looks normal a couple of seconds and then inverts. This is most peculiar because the other day when I went down to the university to do some work, it did not invert, but allowed me to start up Basilisk with normal colors and play Power Pete, albeit with some lag.

Any suggestions?

You´re running 'Bas II' on two different machines? Your main operating system/systems? Your HW configuration/configuration? Your version of 'Bas II'?

Maybe too many ccolours on the host system ?

Or trying to emulate too many colours when the ROM / Mac OS you have used only supports a max of 256 or Thousands ?

Most common cause of issues is trying to emulate a system that the original system didn't support. Maybe too high a screen resolution, which sounds likely too.

What is "Bas II"? I'm running Basilisk on Windows XP, and yeah... that screen resolution thing sounds quite plausible, thanks. Smile

"Bas II" is used as abbreviation to the application Basilisk II Wink
