Best Email App

Well I just hooked up my imac G3 and this time it will be staying up and I will probably be using it daily as well. I was just wondering what you guys thought would be the best email client for me to use. I use a hotmail account (yes I made it a long time ago =P) so it would need to be able to work with that. Thanks.

P.S. I am currently using Classilla and Opera 5.0 as my Web Browsers, is there another browser I should be trying?

The best email app for Mac OS 9.2.2 or earlier (I assume you mean)? Well, that is a difficult one, I think.

Possibly the last version of MS Outlook Express to run on Mac OS 9 would still be OK esp. with hotmail (untried by me tho').

I still use WamCom Mozilla for both web & mail when on a native classic Mac OS. Look for the DL "wamcom-131-macos9-20030723.sit" on that page.

Classilla came out of the WamCom development. I've tried Classilla including its latest release, and I still think WamCom is the more stable - its also able to use plugins that I can't do without (Adblock & mproxy).

The email side of WamCom works OK, its what I use when running from a classic Mac OS (8.6 - 9.2.2).

But... WamCom as a browser is getting to be pretty much broken on a lot of sites. I can still use it OK on the Garden's site. The only bit that breaks here is the rotating games links on the main page (so far).

You might want to look at some versions of Eudora for email too (i.e. later classic versions that can do IMAP as well as POP mail).

I use e-mail module in Wamcom (Mozilla 1.3.1) still.
It's a best e-mail client IMO.
