I played it in middle school in the 90's so I assume it be probably educational.

You played a ship Captain with some questions either related to pirate or finding things like a parrot. You has single ship vs ship combat with a side view of the ships and you could set power and angle of your cannons to hit the enemy ship. I always fired the cannonballs out of the screen to hit a bird outside of the screen so it would die and hit the enemy ship. Your crew would get scurvy unless you had fruits on board. You could trade at different towns and you could hunt for meat in other places.
