comp/mag (new blog/magazine project)

Howdy!

Recently, I revived an old project I had and wanted to create a computer-oriented companion to it. Basically, it's a "computer magazine blog": where I scan advertisements, covers or articles (not whole magazines, at least not yet). The address is at comp/mag.

What I'd like to know if there's any "team members" willing to join: scan (or borrow high-res images) older Mac magazines (2002 or before), write commentary, have fun!

If this PixelPaint Review (PDF) is of any use, please use it. Its a scanned (OCR'd) article from a 1988 APC magazine Mac supp that I scanned about a month ago. It has some high-rez images and ads from the period included. Its a single article, not the whole mag.

Sure! Sorry I took too long to respond: it's just I couldn't figure out a way to use it with what the basic format of the site was. Anyway, comp/mag is essentially dead now, as I ended up just merging it with my other site, Blue Skies and Nintendo. The posts (and there are a few) are all there (except for two).

Guess I could dig out a few items - BUT they are mostly German and I gave away the big majority of 'zines decades ago. The idea of digitally preserving is quite appealing though.

If you want to see video games magazines, check out Retromags, which has full scans of them (prior to 2000, I think).
