Converting .toast into .dmg

I want to help the Mac Garden, but whenever I try to make a .dmg in Toast, it only saves as .toast. I want to convert to .dmg. Disk Utility can apparently do it, but I'm having trouble figuring out how. Help!

EDIT: never mind, I think I found out how.

Actually the problem was the other way around,
since most of us use either Classic Mac hardware (e.g. PowerPC, 68k) or Emulators,
which don't recognize .dmg format,
and not too long ago,
some users were uploading games in dmg format which didn't make any sense,
because dmg's are such a pain to convert them and make them work.

so, it's better to upload games and disc images in .Toast format, not dmg.

Yes, please use .toast if possible, unless it's an OSX-only game or app, then .dmg is recommended.

Toast saves as .toast by default.
Toast saves as .dmg if you select "Compressed" when making the disc image.

Disk Utility saves as .dmg by default.
Disk Utility will save as .cdr if you select to create a "CD Master". .cdr is fully compatible with Toast.
Follow Balrog's advice, but for some games, use .cdr to image the original media. .cdr picks up and stores multiple formats and certain hidden features used to normally prevent duplication. Unfortunately .cdr scares a few downloaders, so you just need to remind them that it mounts in Toast - even OS8-9 Toast.
