I hope not to add some screenshots to forums, because spammers would find a new action area then.
Why, what's wrong with posting a desktop screenshot?
Anyway, maybe I can find one of the very old screenshots I have from my old Hotline server. I should still have some desktop screenshots saved from my Macs I used in the late 90's. Old stuff!
Hey, what was the name of the server?
mine was "Necromancer's Lair" ^_^
Its a great idea, as long as spammers dont find out about it. I'll try to get a screenshot of my mac desktop up
OK, this thread is a tad ancient, but in light of the recent "What Mac do you run Mac Garden apps on?" thread - thought I'd post up my Basilisk II desktop (this B II resides on my laptop) it runs lots of apps sourced from the garden
This one is running Mac SSW 7 Pro (Mac OS 7.1.1). It thinks its a Quadra 800 and in the screenshot, is running at full screen on the lappy

I run real Macs too. Cheers.
@bittin what apps are you using in the dock?
@ken147: The dock in "bitten's" screenshot is "A-Dock", not the OS X native Dock. This dock runs on OS 8.5 - 9.2.2. The apps he has parked there appear to be Audion, Classila, and "Ircle" and "Finder" not sure what the clown faced icon is.
A-Dock is the utility you can get from here, its the 1st item you see when you hit the "APPS" link.
Here's my Quadra 950, cloned into a disk image, and run with BasiliskII on my MacBook.

@OSX2000: Hmmm, now thats Thinking Different!
Kaleidescope? What theme?
Remember, Cmd-Shift-3 can be used to make a screenshot on a real Mac
here's my G4 533's screen: Powermac G4 533 DP digital audio
I prefer this Mac to my QS-2002 1GHz DP for running Mac OS 9.2.2 only. The QS runs Tiger. Both can dual boot OS 9.x and 10.x
@MikeTomTom: Yep, it's Kaleidoscope, running a theme I made a long time ago called Darkness Red. I found it on a floppy disk a few days ago, and all my Classic Macs are running it now.
There used to be two other versions of it, blue and green, but I didn't find them.
@OSX2000: "Kaleidoscope, running a theme I made a long time ago called Darkness Red"
Yes its a good one. It inspired me to look at re-visiting Kaleidoscope too. Curiously, Google came up with an excellent link to a post you made to the Garden earlier this year
There's a further link in your pages to an enormous repository of Kaleidoscope Themes. More than enough to last me a life time I would think. So thanks very much for having that page up.
Here's my Basilisk II set up on my lappy again, this time running SSW Seven Pro (Mac OS 7.1.1) and sporting an Aqua theme (sort of OS X 10.1-ish)
@MikeTomTom: Awesome!! That's exactly why I put my old site back up, I'm so glad to hear it's once again proving useful to some.
That's a good looking Aqua theme you've got now. Which one is it?
@OSX2000: Its called "Aqua III"... but I confess that I have cheated with this one. That is, I like the OS X drop shadows that much that I just had to add them manually to the screensot (aqua just doesn't look right without 'em). The Kaleidoscope Theme didn't do that bit...
@MikeTomTom yea I know about A-Dock I've used it for a while...I meant the apps IN the dock
@ken147: The apps in his "A-Dock" appear to be (in the order of L to R); "Audion, Classilla, [unknown], Finder, Ircle and Trash". The [unknown] (to me) app, appears to be some kind of compression software that "bittin" uses, judging by the file icon for the AppleWorks archive on his desktop. Bittin hasn't come back to this thread since his OP to confirm what that app might be.

Or, some kind of FTP program. I see bittin has an FTP session open in the background, he's possibly downloading AppleWorks while taking the screenshot. The FTP app may even be Fetch, with modified custom icons?
