Hello, is there a dvd player that will work with mac os X 10.3 on an iMac G3 and if so where can I fond one.

Not sure what you mean by "dvd player". Do you mean a software, or a hardware player?

OK. Try any of these three:
XinePlayer 03. This one is OK but maybe somewhat buggy.
VLC media player. This is the final version to run on Panther (OS 10.3).
MPlayer OSX Extended rev 6. Unofficial port of MPlayer. Have to DL this from the Wayback Machine. I use rev 11 of this program on 10.4.11 and it is excellent. I don't know if this earlier rev 6 (or any of the others on this links page) will run on 10.3 but its worth a shot, start with rev 6. There's an earlier rev 5 link at the wayback link but it seems to be unavailable.
[Edit] It looks like "MPlayer OSX Extended" is only for Tiger (10.4) and newer. Just tried it on PearPC running 10.3 an it was a no go. Pity.
The top two links will run on 10.3 tho', so good luck.

You should need to install manually the DVD Player frameworks in an unsupported iMac G3 using the Install CD of Mac OS 10.3 alongside the Apple DVD Player.
If you can't install the Apple DVD Player, download "InterActual Player" and try to execute the app. The message error shown at startup will be a great hint for you.

MPlayer OSX Etended doesn't work, but guess what...
Inside the application, there are two apps: mplayer and mplayer-noaltivec.
Maybe you should replace both files with a Compatible OS X 10.3 Binary to get working like a Release 4.

Looks like mplayer binaries for 10.3 are available. I've located these versions of "MPlayer OS X" before it became "MPlayer OS X Extended".
I DL'd "MPlayer OS X v1.1" from the bottom of the list and installed it onto PearPC running 10.3.9 and it runs. Apparently all of the files on that page from v1.1 up to "MPlayerOSX2b8r4" will run on 10.3.x, so you have plenty to choose from as to what works best. "MPlayerOSX2b8r4" is likely the most bug-fixed of the 2 series here.
