EA's Decision Stinks but...

Listen folks I know EA's instinct is to crush all opposition and bar everyone from our favorite Maxis games,
but there is no way around this and this great site has to stay afloat so here is an idea pitch. I know the idea is dull to flat line but how about we get a compiled list or catagory going of games and apps that are available for Mac that some of us can't get a hold of, find or get for free anymore, prime example the deal with EA. I mean just a list of games that aren't available on the site or those we can't find that way we could all help each other. Just having title names will help anyone find the stuff from amazon resellers, flea markets, ebay, ect. ect.. Just a suggestion.

Instead of d/l files, we could link to an Amazon entry, that's completely true. Smile

Or did you mean like a "Most Wanted List" ? maintained by admins ? - otherwise you'd get people requesting games that 1) are already up, 2) were bever released for Mac, or 3) are definitely not abandonware.

When stuff comes onto the "Games you'd like to see ..." thread, I try to keep a note so if it comes up on my eBay general searches I can post back that it's there, or bid on it.

More like a most wanted list for apps and games that aren't abandonware or software companies that give the site a hard time about abandonware. I mean its crap that EA considers a preview of pic of a game intellectual property too. Why do they really care about it? Because they aren't making money off of it? So if they have a problem with all of this than why don't they make it commercially downloadable on a pay-per-download basis.. anyway we need a list of software maintained by the admins that isn't available because of these kinds of circumstances. Maybe post links to information or like IIGS_User has suggested. I guess the site already does that though with the entries and links under the current cataloging but it would be nice to have a separate catagory for these kinds of games
