eBay - Ultimate Mac A/UX machine (Sold)

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Apple-Mac-Quadra-650-A-UX-Seagate-Radius-Asante-...

Act fast, this is one of the best specced Macs of this age I have seen. Worth it for the 10k Cheetah 18GB SCSI HDD and adaptor on their own!

You need to act real fast tho, only about a day left!

cheers.

Oddest looking Quadra 650 I have ever seen Smile

Housed in a lovely Macintosh IIci case - The Radius is a plus tho'. The bid price is really low too (so far). Good luck to the lucky US buyer.

Man, I really wish I could get this, but I spent all my money on a Pippin Wink

18GB is pretty laughable today, but in the 1990s, 18GB was absolutely huge. That's 36 times* the capacity of the high-end Quadra configurations.

* Yes, I know that 1GB isn't exactly 1000MB, so it's not exactly 36 times. Humor me.

On the above Q650, 18GB storage is still absolutely huge Wink

I see it eventually sold for US $112.50 (13 bidders).

That is about $30 more than what I paid for a fully specced and upgraded Dual-G5 2.5GHz PowerMac (Quad-Core, Liquid-Cooled) with Airport Extreme and Bluetooth, plus 2x250GB hard disks in RAID-1 configuration (DELIVERED!)

I was pleasantly surprised to see the G5 has USB2.0 and Gigabit Ethernet... should make it much easier to use Smile
