How To get Xcode 2.x???

I have attempted to download XCode 2.5 from Apple a number of times. The trouble is that they require an account and no matter how many times i try I can not get it to go through. Once I receive the confirmation of email email I follow the verify link and end up being told that the developer id is not entered correctly. So at the moment I am stuck with Mac OS classic tools while running OS X 10.4.11.

Can any one help?? Please?

Hoping not to get banned because of OSX talk. Smile

There are vintage Xcode developer sets on Apple´s servers.
Xcode Developer Tools 2.5, 3.1 and some more.
A developer account is needed to get it, unfortunately.

I just want to compile Mini vMac with Macintosh II emulation and Color (color is not yet available for the Mac OS Classic target of Mini vMac). Unless you know a way to get color working under Mac OS 9.22???

I would strongly prefer to just run minivmac under Mac OS 9.22 and 7.5.5 (on my G4 and Performa 6400 respectively) with Macintosh II plus color display emulation, though I realy do not have the time to look through the source and translate what ever is needed to use Color QuickDraw.

I am attempting to relearn PowerPC assembly at the moment (it has been nearly ten years since I did much in PowerPC assembly and I can not find any of my textbooks on the topic Sad ).

Kind of ironic in a way as I never stopped using 68K assembly. Though that applies to many platforms (for me the Macintosh and Atari ST/TT/Falcon).

Is it to much to want a reasonable Apple Macintosh II emulation running SSW 5?

Ok never mind I just found a compiled binary of Mini-vMac compiled with Macintosh II emulation and 8BPP targeting OS X PowerPC on the Gryphel site.

Sorry for taking any ones time.

I would try installing XCode 2 from the Tiger installation disc and running Software Update to bring it to the latest 2.x version. You can run the installer package individually; just find it on the disc and double-click.

Unfortunately I can not find it on the tiger disk set, that was the first thing i tried.

Though it does not matter now that I found a compiled copy of Mini vMac with Mac II and color emulation for PowerPC OS X.

For any development my preferred environments are MPW, Think Pascal, and Fantasm.
