I use imac g4 15" (800 mhz) and osx 10.4.11
when I open Basilisk II. It immediately quit on launch
I know that Basilisk II will not run without a compatible ROM file.

If you go by Apple's rules, then you must buy yourself a vintage macintosh and make a copy of the ROM. One is only allowed to use the ROMs of macintoshes that one owns in the various mac emulators (mini vMac, Basilisk, SheepShaver).
Without doubt, disobedient boys and girls have made macintosh ROMs available on the internet but their use violates Apple's rules.
Some of us even kept the physical ROMs from their broken logic boards and were shocked to find the files when coming across the Redundantrobot Sheepshaver Tutorial . Gimmeslack12 still has such files in his tutorial, I suppose.
thanks for your suggestion
I Just finish Basilisk II installation
and I hope SheepShaver willbe the next!
@meeno:
this game it requires 256 color of screen set but when I changing monitor to 256 color It make Basilisk II stopping work at all
Try choosing 256 colors in Basilisk II GUI, before launching a BII session. That is, don't try switching screen resolution in BII's Control Panels while it is running. BII works best with fixed screen resolutions and you should set those before you boot up into the Mac OS.
The game is supposed to run in SheepShaver, maybe try that.
The game is coded "68k only", so it should run with BII after all.
I never had such an error with BII. I know some SheepShaver builds wont support all color settings,
SDL and X versions are different, but thats another story.
Did you try a different ROM for BII?
Very old SSW 7 software can be run with FusionPC in 256 colors.
FusionPC will need a emulated DOSBox or a WIN98 PC (or lower) to operate, unfortunately.
See here about FusionPC: http://www.emaculation.com/doku.php/fusion_setup_guide

If the screen would show -192, I would be sure it is aPowerPC-only game.
But yes, try SheepShaver as another option.
There must be a reason why your Bas crashed with 256 colours...
I tried the game version 1.0.1 and it works for me with BII/SSW7.5 or SS/OS8.6 set to 256 colors on a 10.6.8 host.
Maybe there is something wrong with your BII setup?
