Just received my eBay copy in the mail today. It lets you copy the game without any apparent problems, but when loading it it recognises that it's not an original disk, and asks you to insert the original. Hopefully someone may be able to hack this, but I may not be able to upload a copy just yet as the internal HD floppy drive on my Mac Classic is playing up (having to use an 800k external drive).

Have managed to make a physical copy with Copy II Mac that is recognised as an original, not sure about making a disk image though.

Be sure to slide the little locking tab so that the disk is locked, if it isn't already. The little square hole should be open if it's locked already. Use Disk Copy 4.2 to make an image, use the Get Info feature to lock that file before doing anything with it, and use StuffIt to make it safe for transmission. Then upload it somewhere and let us know what you did to make it and what kind of help you want with it. I'm trying to do a similar thing with the original floppy of "Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?", which I purchased on eBay a long time ago. All my attempts at making a working backup of the original floppy have failed (Copy II and DiskDup+ amongst others), so any suggestions on how to successfully do this would be appreciated. The original disk reads fine still, but seems a little worn (there are nasty sounds when it spins in the floppy drive), so I want to rescue the contents if possible.

Nevermind, I found a cracked version of the game and put that on the backup floppy. Now I have a working backup floppy.

Some bad news, I just dug out my old Mac Classic and it seems to have died, I have a few other old Macs but they're not immediately accessible at the moment.

I had my LC die on me (logic board) along with the harddrive in my LC II, all in one day. So I swapped the good drive from the LC to my LC II, which saved the day (the machines were identically set up with 7.1). So you're not the only one with failing vintage machinery, if that's some comfort. Too bad these relics dwindle away just like that, for no apparent reason.
