I seen the ibook restore cd, But there is not much information on it,
All I seen it was I-book 1.1 and installed 9.1 on the system
I need to know if it will work on a clam shell that has 400 Firewire
also how do you open a .sit file Win rar does not want it
.sit files are opened with StuffIt Expander. There should be a carbonized version of 7 on the Macintosh Garden.

'Carbonized' means, the game/application runs with Mac OS 9.0 (sometimes 8.6) and newer, including Mac OS X (PowerPC), no need of Classic Environment.

I think they wanted the Windows version of StuffIt though.
But remember, if you unstuff the files in Windows, mostly the file's content is no longer useable on the Mac (resource fork lost, etc.)
That doesn't apply to iso/toast/dmg images though.
According to everymac, the FW clamshells came with 9.0.4 preinstalled. The first dual-USB icebooks came with 9.1 and with a release date of 2001 this restore CD is probably not for your iBook.

This is true, so (in my point of view) imaged downloads are preferred.
