Hmmm, of course. But are we sure he didn't just have voice recognition turned on in Mac OS 7 ?
Edit: Changed 'xxx 7' to 'Mac OS 7' - IIGS User
I can vouch for this, I've used the voice recognition on old macs called PlainTalk. It's very far form perfect, just asking it the time can take a few attempts.
How hard can it be ? "Computer, what time is it ?"
Agreed. It was a struggle sometimes to get it to recognise the pre-defined phrases. To those that don't remember the pain of PlainTalk, there was no magic voice command interpretation, it would only recognise predefined phrases linked to commands. It was still hard enough to get the voice recognition to work in OSX on a G4 / G5.
