I am looking for the possibly modified version of System 1.1 that came with Pinball Construction Set.
I have to reason to believe it may be neccessary to get PCS to run in Mini vMac.

Anyone?
Did you try looking here: http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/macintosh-system-1x

Nothing disappears without a trace!
No good. I believe that PCS had its own custom OS - it had its own startup screen, for one.
Anyone?
There is a demo of PCS in Games Disk 7 of the Boston Computer Society at
http://www.n-1.nl/mac/bcs/index.html
The Society is defunct but they have made their disks of (very) old software on 400K MFS disks available to everyone. You can play the demo on mini vmac. All their disks contain a System and Finder for an system with no version number but presumably it is close to version 1 in view of the extreme age of the disks and software. I have been through all the disks and have extracted all the files...there are some that are corrupted with age of media but not many.
Sorry, no good. That is a normal 4.0. I am looking for a possibly modified 1.1. It had a unique startup screen, for one.
Anyone?
This has been one of those long-sought-after titles that we've just never come across, I can remember it being requested on other Mac forums, pre old Mac Garden, maybe 12-13 years ago. Some of us search eBay and similar sites regularly looking for any old Mac titles that deserve preservation, it's been one that has never come up, or has been outrageously expensive. If you're willing to regularly search the sales sites and put your hand deep into your pocket, you could acquire an original.
I've never seen it while on sale, but I have heard of sales in other countries, after they closed. I'm chuffed that I managed to get a perfect original of Corruption, another "most wanted", on eBay in all my years of searching.
I may still have a copy of the original somewhere, but I am not entirely sure where, and I don't have anything that can read it, either.
BTW, what is the latest system that can read MFS?
7.6 is the last that can write, you can read in OS X with a program called MFSLives.
What is the last that can read? 8.1?
What I am mainly looking for is a US version of Pinball Construction Set. The version that can be found on the net (and was once here on Macintosh Garden) is actually an ITALIAN version that has been translated to English.
Well?
Ferazel-X, please contact me privately. You can find my e-mail address at the Old Mac Archive.
I have done so.
