Unlikely, as it is for the LC family (it wouldn't fit the SE case for starters), which would be for 32bit Macs not 16 bit like the SE. You need something built specifically for the SE and it will be a rare find.
What does work and works very well, if you can lay your hands on one, is the Asante EN/SC SCSI to Ethernet solution. A good picture & description of it in this ebay auction (the seller is asking $90 as a starting bid price)
It has a choice of 3 enet connections , BNC, Twisted Pair & AUI and it works really well on Macs like the SE, but also all Macs with a 68020 - 68030 CPU (doesn't work in '040 Macs and not needed for Macs with built in ethernet). A good solution to an age old problem.
I have one of these Asante boxes, but I got mine in a school throw-out for $0
Would this one do? If not, I'll try to buy one from the LowEndMac Swap list.

No, its another LC ethernet card. With good pics like the one in that sale, observe the internal and external connectors, and think about how it would (not) fit into an SE case (and why it could not possibly fit into an SE case).
Asante did make an internal ethernet card for the SE it was called the "MacCon+ SE Card" models, SEE & SEET, the latter supported twisted pair (and BNC & AUI) networking.
The internal Asante card for the SE will have a ribbon that connects to a face plate for the external connectors. It will look like this one for the SE/30 and its NOT compatible with the SE, but looks the same as this SE/30 card. And at the seller's $150 asking price perhaps its just as well.
This one shoul work, right?

From the screenshot, it is missing the external connector board. Review the picture of the SE/30 ethernet card from my previous post. See the connector board that is missing from the end of the ribbon cable in the link you just posted. I cannot see this card and there is no mention of what is included, plus its untested. You would have to clarify this situation with the seller. You could even point him to the pic of that SE/30 auction if he doesn't know what it is you are talking about.
And if it isn't there, don't bid on this auction. Right card but it may be a dud.
Hmmm.... just found out that Zterm is for Windows too. I'll have to give that a try first once my SE's new hard drive comes in. Which should be sometime next week.
Just a general question, do classic SE's have the same capacitor problems as SE30's?
Yes! Success! IT'S ALIVE!!!! Thank you all for your wonderful support! I'll post pics later. Only problem is, 24bits disk doesnt read. I put it in, and it come up on the desktop, and it says it has nothing on it. Any ideas?
Thats bad news.
The floppy looked good here, but those disks are sensible to all kind of EMF.
Who knows what US Mail does with incoming postage?
Maybe someone from the US can try again, if you still want to set up a terminal connection.
Edit: Glad to hear, your SE is running with the new HDD!
Maybe this guy can help you along for a few bucks: http://rescuemyclassicmac.com/
If you wish, I´ll send you the 800k image with Z-Term and Stuffit Expander on it.
Thanks for the disk anyway! The new HDD had Apple File Exchange on it, I could use that, correct? At any rate, I found a guy on LowEndMac selling a set of USB and SCSI Zip Drives with disks for $20 shipped. I've already contacted him.
Edit: Yeah, US mail isnt all that great.
Is importing data also restricted?
WOW. I just made a nice discovery. I dug around in my cabinet and found a 1.4 PC disk, so just for fun I put it in the SE. It said it was not a Mac disk. Figures. So I hit initalize, and it succesgully formatted it. I then loaded my System foldet on it. It wrote just fine! So I guess my SE was upgraded from an 800k drive to 1.4 drive. I had heard of the procedure but apperently it was rare and the kits were not avaliable. I think I like my SE a lot more now.
Say, waddya know!
This should make it a lot easier to transfer files onto your SE now. From your PC, HFVExplorer can read/write/format (and copy files to) Mac 1.4MB floppy media (as can other tools, and emulators)... hoping/assuming your PC has a floppy disk drive, that is...
My PC's dont have floppy drives, unfortunately. HFVExplorer should be able to write to USB drives, correct? If that's the case, they sell USB drives for $8 on eBay. I also recently bought an Apple 300 CD Drive (external) with the drivers, cables, and terminators.
If you mean by "USB drives", a USB floppy disk drive, then yes that is no problem, the 1.4MB floppy media is the same. I have a TEAC brand USB floppy drive, it doesn't require drivers and works on both Mac & PCs with USB ports.
It will also be handy for the SE to have the 300 CD drive, tho' I don't think that it will be able to mount or read home burned CDR (+ or -), only commercial pressings of data and audio, IIRC (hopefully I am wrong here).
If I´m not mistaken, the Apple CD 300 was the first CD ROM drive I owned.
A friend toasted the contens of my Mac HD to two 650MB audio disks at his office and those media were read without glitches by the Sony CDU-8003. In fact these "audio" CD´s from yonder are still in perfect order today. Real quality with quite a high pricing those days.
Off topic: The Sony device has 1-bit error correction and can read many otherwise "unreadable" media - painfully slow, but read it does.
I know this is a little late, but for those of you in the US, this screwdriver is exactly what is needed to open a compact Mac, and most Sears locations have them:
