Extended support for Microsoft Office:mac 2004 has officially ended January 10, 2012. Microsoft will no longer fix any security issues and the final version is 11.6.6, released December 13, 2011.

Microsoft Office:mac 2004 has been released May 11, 2004.

I would suggest it be added to the garden earliest May 12, 2014. It is the last version for Mac OS X 10.2.8 and 10.3.x. It is NOT the last version to run on PowerPC-based Macs, which is Microsoft Office for Mac 2008 (Universal Binary, PowerPC+Intel).

For me, this is a sad day. Now, every commercial product that runs on my Power Mac G3 B&W and on the Power Mac G4 Cube is unsupported. Only TenFourFox remains supported in a community kind of way.

A download of the full retail versions (Standard or Professional Edition) is not yet intended because it is not the time for it... yet. (10 years after initial release, earliest).
