I'm removing all my Mediafire links and will no longer post any new ones. This is in order to preserve my own MF account; a lot of time has gone into uploading and maintaining it. While I do have it backed up in its entirety, I do not ever wish to re-upload the whole thing to any other site or service.

Links on the Garden to my MF files will not be allowed; also, if you're a Mediafire user and have copied my files to your account, you can't post links to those because they are associated with mine and will result in trouble for both of us if there's another case of files being suspended. First you must download the file, alter it slightly in some way (maybe add a little text file) and re-upload it with a different filename.

By all means, if someone asks where to get these large downloads, tell them to come to the Old Mac Archive, but don't list a hyperlink on the Garden, other than providing one on the "Friends" section on the index page. Just tell people to Google the name and they'll find it easily enough. My site depends on Mediafire and Google Sites for its existence, and too many links on the Garden will only result in trouble down the road.
