October 24: New SheepShaver for OS X!

Finally, there is a new build of SheepShaver for OS X:

The main change is that SheepShaver now runs as a 64 bit application on capable Intel Macs.

This is the first build in one year (one year less a day, actually). The code had some serious issues which prevented new builds from being made. Those have all been worked out, so look forward to more frequent updates to the emulator!

And also this, which I neglected to mention, but will be of interest to a lot of people here:

"Partial support for bin/cue files to enable the use of (images of) mixed
digital/audio cdroms."

Nice! Looking forward to seeing a new Windows version with this.

You know, Protocol 7, that feature was contributed by a university professor with a keen interest in Digital preservation. He added the feature in for Linux and OS X but pointed out that he doesn't really work with Windows.

So we might have to wait a bit for that. Sad

That's ok. I don't mind waiting.
