I was chatting with you a while back about parts for your newly acquired LCIII.
The CD-R drive [a SCSI Yamaha 6416] that I had for you reads pressed CD-ROMs, writes to modern CD-Rs but won't read the feckers. Maybe it needs a firmware upgrade or another brand of CD-R.
I do have, though, a new 512K VRAM chip for your LCIII and an 10BaseT/10Base2 LC-PDS so that you can network your LCIII. You can have the two for €13 + postage if you wish.

soudesune, you made my day! This is awesome news and I'd love to accept your offer. I almost gave up on the LC III after several month of making no progess and wanted to put it to a safe store place until the situation changes but now it'll remain on my desk!
