If I rename an app or game, I notice that the url changes. Is that entirely virtual, or is there a file system folder being renamed behind the scenes, or worse yet, a folder being duplicated?

It's entirely virtual. Admins (like me) have a field that allows us to change the URL at will. The /actual/ URL is a cryptic node number.
Great. I was afraid that my incessant name tweaking has been eating away at your disk space.
No, but what it can do is break links in people's comments, or URLs to pages.
It's a good point. I'm watching for that and believe I have not caused any problems. (For the stuff being edited, I'm mostly responsible for the links in the first place.)
