My name is Mark Speir. My father, Michael D. Speir wrote this game when he was active in the Mac shareware community in the early 90's. It was a very pleasant surprise to find it after all these years!
Thanks guys!

Nice to hear from you!
Thank you for your comment, too!

Yeah, I wish we would hear from more people involved in the making of some of this stuff, especially from the '80s to early '90s. A few people have websites dedicated to their work, like Cliff Johnson and Chris Crawford.
I just wish I could find more of his old stuff. I lost all of it when my Mac was stolen a few years back. He, of course, doesn't have a sentimental bone in his body and got rid of everything when he started Windows programming.
Rhodes isn't all that fun, but I like having it around. Unfortunately, it is not playable with Basilisk II. My Pentium D is just about 1000x faster than the fastest 68K processor.
Can you list anything he designed or programmed? There are still old CD collections floating around with shareware and stuff on them; I even have one that appears to be a copy of the Info-Mac archive from some point in time. If he ever posted his stuff on a BBS or website there's still a chance it could be found.
I cannot remember all of them. Really, I cannot remember the names of most of them. There is one that I'm looking for, but I doubt I'll be able to find. It's called Rose Garden. It is a top-down view tile-based game (color). He had it pretty much completed and had a commercial software publisher looking at it, but the deal fell through. He didn't think much of it after that and abandoned the project. I'm hoping there is a copy floating around somewhere as I'd like to finish the development using today's newer techniques, but I lost all of the artwork, story, sounds, basically everything when my Mac was stolen. Sadly, I think that was the last copy in existance.
I created a website for it and was actively developing it, but i didn't maintain the site after the theft and do not remember exactly what the web site was called or what service I used to host it.
