I still have it, but no old Mac to upload it from. If someone in the U.S. has the capability and the willingness to upload it (along with a few others), I would send the disks to them along with $5 to get the disks shipped back.
It needs to be someone who has done this with multiple other similar games, just so I don't send these disks to someone totally random who can't get the job done.
What kind of disks are you talking about? You may know that 1.44MB floppies can be read by most Windows systems with a floppy disk drive. HFV Explorer will read disks and makes images of it too.
If you have 800k or 400k floppies you will indeed need a real Mac disk drive. Mine is still working, but it is located in Germany. Anyway, if no one else should be willing to do so, I will image your disks, as offered at emaculation.com some time ago.
Yeah they are 400k and 800k disks. I believe Winterlast can help me with them! I will be mailing these to him this week.
It's worth a shot at least. The disks still look like they are in good shape, but I haven't had the opportunity to try them in the Mac Plus lately...
Cool, the mysterious Winterlast knows his stuff! I'm here in the States too and can read 400k or 800k disks, but if there's tricky copy protection I'm not much use because my Classic II and external 800k drive for some reason don't really work well the some of the tools that would be needed for examining those disks closely. Probably need a Plus or SE for that. I am able to scan materials for .jpg or .pdf format too, so if anybody needs that done for the Garden and can pay for shipping, let me know!
Sent these to Winterlast yesterday. Just thought I should let yall know that something might possibly happen.
Great to hear, thanks!
I have the full game complete in box. I tried to copy it but cannot, it's copy protected. Anyone know how I can copy the disk or crack it?
If you're handy with Unix, you may get away with something like dd,
Or OS X Disk Utility making a CD/DVD Master copy may also work.
I suppose some of us could try to find a no-cd crack, one must exist.
