Sheepshaver Made Easy

Just follow the instructions at The WPMacApp (WPMac Appliance): a system for running WordPerfect for the Macintosh on Intel-based Macs. You get WordPerfect, no biggie, the magic ROMs, and by adding a folder with your classic apps to your normal apps folder you can bring them up using the unix folder and run cricket graph, statview, clr anova and other old but useful old apps. You can copy and paste the results into a wordperfect file then same it as a pdf and use run it back in 10.6.7. If you want to continue to use older apps, do not upgrade to Lion.

First off, 10.6.8 works fine. The update adds some nice stuff.

Also, rather than not upgrading to 10.7, what I did is upgrade, but also create a secondary partition with only 10.6. Seems to work well.

By the way, no version of SheepShaver is perfect — the sort of emulation it does is lousy.

The WPMacApp (WPMac Appliance) mentioned above is one of the two complete SheepShaver installs available free at the WordPerfect Mac Yahoo group WPMac. The other is "SheepShaver-WP Install".
